Nanomaterials And Risk To Health Seminar Report Now In E-Library

Working with Nanomaterials - click to downloadA seminar entitled “Working with nanomaterials, a seminar on policy, practice and the role of public authorities in dealing with uncertain risks”, took place in Brussels last November. The report of the findings together with details of the seminar speeches and presentations has now been made available on-line.

The aim of the seminar was to stimulate awareness on the nanomaterials issue, promote activities to ensure the protection of workers and facilitate the exchange of information and collaboration between Member States.

It contains information on individual Member State initiatives and Member State collaborations in this field, on relevant tools and instruments developed by OSH institutions, and on the views of workers’ and employers’ representatives.

As can be expected, no one from the HSE or indeed the UK's safety bodies or government attended. France, Germany, Belguim and Holland were all represented.

You can read the full report together with advice on dealing with nano technology by dowloading documents from the E-Library Database here Select 'nanaotechnology' from the list of categories.
